FAQ
Explaination about gift cards
Gift cards can be used at the MINISFORUM official store. Customers can use the gift card balance to pay when purchasing products from MINISFORUM. The gift card will be sent to the email address of the customer who submitted a trade-in request.
Q: Do I need to pay anything extra?
A: The shipping cost for returning your old device is covered by you. The shipping cost for sending the new device is covered by us. If you choose Cash on Delivery, the shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.
Q: How do I find the serial number on my device?
A: There is a sticker with a 20-digit serial number on the device case. You can check it directly.
Q: How long does the trade-in process take?
A: The entire trade-in process usually takes 1–2 weeks. Once we receive your trade-in device, we will notify you of the inspection result within 3 business days. If both parties agree on the inspection result, we will issue a gift card equal to the trade-in value.
Q: Do I need to include accessories to get the trade-in value?
A: You do not have to include the box, charger, cables, or other accessories. However, the completeness of what you send back may affect the trade-in value.
Q: Can I trade in any number of computers?
A: Sorry, we only accept one trade-in device for each new computer purchased.
Q: Does this service cover all products?
A: If you cannot select a "product model" on the application page, then that product model is not eligible for this service.
Q: Will you clear the data from my old hard drive or SSD?
A: Please back up and erase all data from your old storage devices (including hard drives, SSDs, and any other data storage devices) yourself. Although we will attempt to erase data after receiving the device, we cannot guarantee that all data will be completely removed. Additionally, we do not provide data erasure certificates or proof of processing.
Q: What if I am not satisfied with the evaluation result?
A: If you do not agree with the final evaluation result and wish to cancel the trade-in service, we will return the product to you in its original condition.
Special Note:
If our customer service team determines a trade‑in price for your product and notifies you via email, you must reply within 7 business days to either accept or reject the offer. If you do not respond within this period, the product will be returned to the original address within 14 business days from the date of the email. After that, no further exchange requests will be accepted.
Trade-in Service Terms & Conditions:
1. The warranty period for trade-in orders is one year. Products that have been used for more than 6 months are eligible for the trade-in service, that is, before December 31, 2025.
2. One trade-in device is accepted for each new purchase.
3. Any shipping fees incurred shall be borne by the buyer. Please note that if you choose Cash on Delivery, this cost will also be deducted from your refund.
4. Please declare damage according to the standards. Failure to do so may delay inspection and evaluation communication, which could affect the return or exchange time.
5. Please submit the application form within two business days after sending back your old device.
6. MINISFORUM will issue a gift card within three business days after receiving your old device and confirming the damage evaluation result.
7. You can send your old computer by courier or bring it directly to our store.
8. This trade-in policy applies only to users who purchase eligible models in the EU-Market.
9. If you fail to back up data on your old computer, any loss caused will be handled according to the "Trade-in Service Terms & Conditions" you have agreed to.
10. MINISFORUM reserves the right to fully interpret and amend these terms and conditions based on specific market conditions.
11. Note: If our customer service team determines a trade‑in price for your product and notifies you via email, you must reply within 7 business days to either accept or reject the offer.
