Q: Mini PC Won't Turn On
1. Check if the indicator light on the power adapter is illuminated. (If NOT, please check the power adapter and its connection to the AC outlet. If your power adapter does not include an indicator light, you can ignore this step.)
2. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. Check if the power indicator light on the device itself lights up.(If NOT, please skip directly to Step 6.)
3. Connect only the wired keyboard and the power adapter. Press the power button, wait for 3 minutes, then press the keyboard's "Caps Lock" key. Check if the keyboard LED indicator lights up.
4. Connect the device directly to a display using an HDMI cable (do not use any adapters or docking stations at this stage). Ensure the monitor is powered on and its input source is switched to the correct HDMI port.
5. Remove all external devices. Unplug USB/docking station devices such as keyboards, USB drives, etc.
6. Remove the power adapter and ensure no external devices are connected to your computer. Press and hold the reset hole for 30 seconds. Then, reconnect the power and attempt to turn on the device to check.
Note 1: The following actions require the power adapter to be disconnected before proceeding.
Note 2: Clearing the CMOS: After this action, the first boot requires up to 2 minutes for BIOS memory self-test before display.
Note 3: After completing this step, please observe whether the device's power indicator light lights up (or lights up again) when you press the power button.
7. Remove all storage drives (e.g., SSDs, HDDs) and check if you can enter the BIOS.
8. Remove the memory modules (RAM). Inspect the gold contacts on the modules for dust, debris, or oxidation. If any is found, clean them gently with a soft pencil eraser. Then firmly reseat the modules.
* You do not need to worry about voiding your warranty. Inspecting or reseating the DDR RAM and SSDs by correctly opening the chassis will not affect your warranty. Please use a screwdriver to remove the bottom panel screws properly—do not pry it open.
9. Test with only a single memory module installed. Try each module individually in different memory slots. If possible, try using memory modules from a different brand for testing.
10. If your device includes a USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port, you can try using a compatible USB-C PD charger and cable to power on the device as a test.
* If you are unsure whether your specific device model supports power-on via its USB-C port, please contact our support team at support@minisforum.com for confirmation.
11. Please provide us with as much detail as possible regarding the outcome of each step you have performed. This information will allow us to diagnose the issue more quickly and provide you with an accurate solution.
Q: Random Blue Screen or Restart During Use
If the system crashes with a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or (in Windows 25H2 or later) a black screen displaying error text, please take a clear photo of the entire screen and contact our support team at support@minisforum.com. Our technicians will diagnose the issue based on the photo and provide a solution.
Q: HDMI-connected display screen flickers
1. Replace the HDMI cable, or try a different type of connection cable if available.
2. Adjust the refresh rate in your display settings. You can also try pressing the reset button on your monitor (if equipped).
3. Update your graphics drivers.
4. Do not use any adapters.
Q: Bluetooth Connection Issues
If you are experiencing problems such as an inability to connect, intermittent connection drops, or Bluetooth devices disconnecting, the following steps may help. Please try each step in order to see if it resolves the issue. If the problem persists, proceed to the next step.
1. Ensure the Bluetooth adapter is enabled on your device.
2. Ensure the Bluetooth device is within range of your device. Excessive distance can cause unstable connections.
3. Ensure the Bluetooth device is powered on.
4. Save all work, close any open programs, and restart the computer.
5. Unpair the Bluetooth device from your device's settings, then pair it again.
6. Download and install the latest drivers for your computer from our official website.
7. Download and install the operating system provided on the MINISFORUM official website(https://support.minisforum.com/).
Q:System lags on Startup
1. Clear CMOS: With the power adapter unplugged, press and hold the CLR_CMOS button for 15 seconds. Then reconnect the power and boot the device.
2. Check CPU Load: After reaching the Windows desktop, open Task Manager (right-click the taskbar), go to the Performance tab, and check CPU usage. If usage is abnormally high, try disabling unnecessary startup programs via the Startup tab in Task Manager.
3. Check Memory Usage: In Task Manager, under the Performance tab, select Memory to monitor RAM usage. If it consistently exceeds 70% during normal startup, it may indicate insufficient memory.
4. Verify SSD Status: Repeatedly press the "Delete" key during startup to enter the BIOS. Navigate to the Boot section and verify that the SSD is detected and appears in the boot device list. If the SSD is not detected, it may be loose or faulty.
Q: How to Check Your Activated Windows Product Key
1. Click on the Search Bar on the Windows taskbar, type in "Windows PowerShell", and open it.
2. At the command prompt, type or paste the following command and press Enter key:
(Get-WmiObject –query ‘select * from SoftwareLicensingService’).OA3xOriginalProductKey
3. The Windows operating system product key will be displayed in the format: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
